Line marking
Part of most surfacing schemes we carry out, and available as standalone work.
Resurfacing is the best opportunity you will get to change a car park layout, because the lines are going back on regardless. It costs very little more to lay them out properly than to copy what was there before.
What we mark
- Parking bays, including oversized and family bays
- Accessible bays with correct dimensions, hatching and positioning relative to entrances
- EV charging bays
- Directional arrows, give-way markings and one-way flow
- Pedestrian routes, crossings and walkways
- Loading bays, fire routes and keep-clear areas
- Numbering and reserved-bay text
Paint or thermoplastic?
Paint is cheaper and quicker and suits lightly trafficked car parks. Thermoplastic lasts considerably longer under heavy traffic and is the usual choice for service yards, roads and busy retail sites. Either way, the surface needs to be clean and dry, which is why lining is normally the day after surfacing rather than the same afternoon.
