Schools and healthcare sites share a problem that most commercial premises do not: the people using the surface are often walking, and many of them are children, patients or visitors who cannot simply be routed around a works area. Access, segregation and timing matter more here than anywhere else we work.

Most school work happens in holiday periods, which makes the programme unforgiving — a week's slip is not a week, it is a term. We price and programme on that basis. Where work must happen in term time, pedestrian routes are segregated and agreed with the site before anything starts.
Recent work includes access surfacing and additional parking at St Clare's School in Sheffield, where removing the previous kerb line improved vehicle access and created extra spaces, and a new pedestrian walkway installed on a campus in Oxford.

On healthcare sites the constraint is usually that access can never be lost, not that it can be lost briefly. Works are broken into short phases with maintained routes, and much of it happens out of hours. We recently carried out HGV yard patch resurfacing at Lister Hospital in Stevenage, repairing failed sections within a yard that stays in constant use.
Compliance on site
Safeguarding, site inductions, signing in and out, segregation of plant from pedestrians and DBS requirements where applicable — tell us what your site requires and it forms part of the method statement rather than a conversation on the first morning.
